Introducing AI Credits
A simple, predictable way to manage image and video generation in Cuttable.
As creative teams scale, predictability matters.
AI Credits give teams a clear, consistent way to understand and manage AI-generated images and video in Cuttable's AI video and photography studio, Shoots.
This post explains what AI Credits are, how they work, and why we designed them this way.

What are AI Credits in cuttable?
AI Credits are essentially a form of currency within Cuttable. Trade credits for images and videos created by Cuttable. AI Credits are only used when creating new generative assets i.e. an image or video created completely with Cuttable's AI.
They don’t apply to:
- Creating ads in Cuttable
- Editing existing assets
- Publishing
- Performance insights
From a planning perspective, AI Credits reduce the question to something simple: "How much image and video creative do we want to produce this month?”

How AI Credits work
AI Credits are shared across images and video, using one consistent model.
Image generation
- 1 image = 1 AI Credit
Example
- 1 shoot (4 images) → 4 AI Credits
Video generation
- 1 second of video = 3 AI Credits
Examples
- 4-second clip → 12 AI Credits
- 8-second clip → 24 AI Credits
- 12-second clip → 36 AI Credits
Credits can be spent flexibly — more images means fewer videos, and vice versa.

AI Credits included with each plan
Every Cuttable plan includes a monthly allocation of AI Credits.
- Lite: 200
- Performance: 1,100
- Scale: 3,300
These credits can be used interchangeably across images and video, depending on your creative mix.
Lite: 200 AI Credits / month
Best for small creative batches and lightweight testing.
- Up to 200 images, or
- Up to ~66 seconds of video, or
- ~16 × 4-second videos, or
- ~8 × 8-second videos, or
- ~5 × 12-second videos
Performance: 1,100 AI Credits / month
Built for ongoing experimentation and creative velocity.
- Up to 1,100 images, or
- Up to ~366 seconds of video, or
- ~91 × 4-second videos, or
- ~45 × 8-second videos, or
- ~30 × 12-second videos
Scale: 3,300 AI Credits / month
Designed for high-volume production and always-on testing.
- Up to 3,300 images, or
- Up to ~1,100 seconds of video, or
- ~275 × 4-second videos, or
- ~137 × 8-second videos, or
- ~91 × 12-second videos

Buying additional AI Credits
Creative demand isn’t always linear.
When you need more capacity — for launches, peak season, seasonal spikes, or heavier video testing — you can purchase additional AI Credits at any time. This gives teams flexibility without forcing plan upgrades for short-term needs.
- $100 = 555 AI Credits
- $250 = 1,388 AI Credits
- $500 = 2,777 AI Credits
- $1,000 = 5,555 AI Credits
- $2,000 = 11,111 AI Credits
What Top‑Ups Enable (Examples)
These examples illustrate maximum usage scenarios for top‑up credits.
Using a $250 top‑up (1,388 credits):
- 347 image shoots (4 images each), or
- 462 seconds of video, or
- 115 × 4‑second clips, or
- 57 × 8‑second clips, or
- 38 × 12‑second clips
Using a $1,000 top‑up (5,555 credits):
- 1,388 image shoots, or
- 1,851 seconds of video, or
- 462 × 4‑second clips, or
- 231 × 8‑second clips, or
- 154 × 12‑second clips

Why we designed AI Credits this way
AI Credits exist to support how modern performance teams actually work:
- One system for images and video
- Predictable planning and budgeting
- Clear trade-offs, no hidden complexity
- Flexible enough to evolve without changing how teams think
- Plan AI Credits are valid for the duration of your 12-month contract
- Unused plan credits expire at the end of the term
- Top-up AI Credits do not expire and carry across renewals
Most customers don’t think about AI Credits day-to-day.
They’re there to make scaling creative, boring, reliable and explainable.
